Are you an athlete?
Gavin has an enormous passion for working with athletes. Whether you’re an Olympian, or a casual runner that wants to improve your times, he would love to help you on that that journey. Gavin has experience working with athletes at the Sydney Swans, ACT Brumbies, AIS and Canberra United Football Club. Through this experience he has developed a range of skills in helping different athletes to use nutrition as a tool to achieve their goals, both in body composition and performance.

Q&A With Gavin
What’s your favourite food?
Impossible question to answer! If I can only choose a couple: grilled salmon, spaghetti Bolognese (don’t let anyone tell you carbs are bad!) & poached eggs on toast.
Why did you become a dietitian?
I’ve always loved sport, and always enjoyed science at school – wanting to combine those two disciplines (and a love for food) led me to studying and researching nutrition and dietetics for 6 years, and here we are! A job I genuinely love to do, which is just about all you can ask for.
What’s your Food Philosophy?
Food is amazing, it can help us achieve our goals, it brings people together and it should be enjoyed, but food is not the be all and end all! There is no such thing as good and bad foods, only types of foods we should more often and less often, those foods that are there to have less often still have an incredibly important place in our lives. What your healthy diet looks like, may not look like anyone else’s AND THAT’S GREAT!
